Sunshine Coast youngsters will have the opportunity of a lifetime when their Brisbane Lions heroes ‘roar’ in to the Coast on Wednesday 25th May with super clinics scheduled across five junior clubs.
Players will experience a unique opportunity to mingle with their favourite Brisbane players and the privilege to enhance their skills through the Super Clinic prospect. AFL Sunshine Coast development officer Paul Tresise said that this is a fantastic time to be involved with AFL and an even better time for the juniors to get amongst the action.
“This sort of clinic fosters game development and enables the youngsters the opportunity to rub shoulders with the hero’s of today and where the Lions can give back to community grass-roots footy which is a vital step in development,” Mr Tresise said.
“The chance for the kids to have a kick and mark up against the Lions lads is something they never forget and keeps them motivated.”
The super clinics will be held across the Sunshine Coast on Wednesday May 25 at the home grounds of:
Pomona AFC (Reserve Street, Pomona)
Noosa AFC (Weyba Road, Noosaville)
Maroochydore JAFC (Fishermans Road, Maroochydore)
Caloundra AFC (North Street, Caloundra)
Bribie Island AFC (First Avenue)
The super clinic will run from 4.00-5.00pm with the opportunity to get autographs from 5.00-5.30pm.
The clinics are open to kids from all areas, ages and abilities, so head down to your local club and ‘go wild’ with the Brisbane Lions!
