AFL Sunshine Coast Umpire Development Officer Rohan Briggs and Kawana Park Under 14 player Josh Linton were both brave on Sunday 13th March and shaved their heads in support of the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest shave.
As the highest bidder, AFL Sunshine Coast Club Development Officer Paul Tresise had the pleasure of shaving Rohan’s locks off at the Suncoast Power Under 16 club day. As a result, Rohan raised $270 for this worthwhile cause. This is the second time Rohan has done the shave and now he’s out umpiring there won’t be too many players who will want argue with the decisions he makes.
Kawana Park Under 14 player Josh Linton also shaved his head and in the process raised $1086.65 for the cause. Josh held his Shave for a Cure event at the Mooloolaba Surf Lifesaving Club with Ironman Josh Minogue given the duty as official barber for the event.
Both Rohan and Josh would like to thank all those who donated to the cause.
Well done Rohan and Josh!
