Some under 14 division 1 telling season stats:

Daniel Henderson was duly recognised as the runner up in this competitions Best & Fairest vote count to Maroochydore Whites Brandon Maki who polled 34 votes. Last years under 14 B&F winner in Clancy Miller has again done well and with the form he gave the Suncoast Power 14’s in 2010 winning their B&F it could be said you couldn’t find a more consistent player find within our juniors – expect a big game from “Lingy”.
Whilst the Panthers have “Hendo”, the Roos have “Stevo”, both are quality young players who will provide a fantastic contest when going head to head. Their ball sense and use is fantastic and both are capable of driving their teams a long way down the path to success in this eagerly awaited contest.
Home and away matches played – over the course of the home and away season these two quality teams have met on 4 occasions for a record of Caloundra 3, Maroochydore 1. The first game of the season in round 2 was a Caloundra belting by some 20 goals, we can’t and won’t draw anything from that as the season hadn’t settled. Then we got down to some awesome games between the two with Caloundra again getting the four points in game 2 and 3 by 18 and 19 points respectively. Round 15 was the turning point as the Roos really bounded into their season and they gathered a 13 point win, this giving great belief to the green and gold and we all know they became the first 14’s div 1 team into the GF.

Home and away matches played – an interesting game result was found within Footyweb, this centres on these two teams playing each other at division one level way back in round 3. That day produced a 41 point win to the Eagles (12.7.79 to 6.2.38); much the same winning margin as the second semi final, does this beg the question that this is the difference between these two teams. I think not as we saw in round 7 and this day upon the Eagles nest a Demons team have a 3 goal win although one can see that the Eagles couldn’t kick straight that day with 4.11 to their oppositions 8.5, 15 to 13 scoring shots.
If Billy Mahony and Michael Daddow have big days through the centre, this Demons team has the potency with key forward Thomas Kennedy to kick a winning score.
Eagles players Adam Randall who has great added voice, with Tom Dignan and Nick Gordon provide enormous run and carry this the key to the Eagles game plan, often being well fed by their “Sandilands” ruckman in William Kristelly.
