The Under 14 State Country South Championships are being played at Glasshouse Hinterland AFC this weekend with teams from the Sunshine Coast, Darling Downs, Bundaberg Wide Bay and Northern Rivers (Northern NSW) competing. The championships are designed to promote and strengthen AFL in regions with fewer opportunities and will give a number of boys from the Sunshine Coast of bottom age under 14’s and potential development program players the chance to experience representative football.
Each Team will play 3 games over 2 days and a number of players will be selected to continue on through to the final squad for the Suncoast Power under 14’s to compete at the State Championships held at Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex in the June school holidays.
