Spectators and supporters are seated on the mezzanine floor and can number 500 as Stadium floor entry can not be accessed if all 6 courts are in operation. National Club Champs have been successfully held by The Club and we have hosted an International against Australia. Beach Volleyball Courts (2) opened in November, 2010 at Lansdowne Park, Blenheim. Weekly competitions are staged on Tuesdays and in the weekends throughout the summer.
Additional Info:
The Club has a very successful Women's Representative Squad 'The Redbacks' that each year compete with other South Island Provinces in a Southern Zone Tournament in which they are seeded to attend the National Club Championships held in August each year. Women's Volleyball is strong in Marlborough because of the sterling work put in over many years by MGC Teacher & Coach Roy Titheridge. The team over the years has been almost entirely made up of his current and former charges. Marlborough have struggled in recent years to put together a men's squad but are still working towards that end. The Club's 'big' project for 2008 is to bring to fruition a sand volleyball complex numbering 2 or more probably 3 volleyball courts in a Blenheim 'Central' locations
