Player/ Parent/ Spectator - Code of Conduct

1. Abide by and respect the rules, rights, dignity and worth of fellow players, coaches, officials and spectators.  Be aware children participate in sport for their own enjoyment, not others.

2. Do not encourage acts of aggression, physical contact, ridicule or scold a player/official/coach for making a mistake. Positive comments are motivational.

3. Respect the talent, potential and development of fellow players, competitors and officials. Respect your team-mates, coach officials and opponents. Without them there would be no game.

4.  Be honest in your attitude and preparation to training and playing. Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Maintain a positive relationship with your coach - they give their time as volunteers.

5.  Maintain high personal behaviour standards at all times. Therefore conduct yourself in a professional manner relating to language, temper and punctuality.

6.  Focus on your efforts and performance rather than winning or losing. Identify areas where improvement can occur and work towards these goals.

7. Parents and spectators must demonstrate a high degree of responsibility when discussing aspects relating to the club, training, coach or team. Your words and actions must always be seen as providing a positive role model.

8.  Understand the repercussions if you breach, or are aware of any breaches of, this code of conduct.  Unacceptable behaviours/attitudes serve no good and will result in consequences.
