ELTHAM TOURNAMENT PAID TASK ADVERTISEMENT

Applications are invited for an ASSISTANT FIXTURES CONVENOR to help fixture the games for which Eltham is responsible in the Eltham-Dandenong Tournament.

Currently Bianca Ananiev and David Hickman are joint Fixtures Convenors. The Assistant would work with them primarily as a learning experience in the first year, but ready to take a more responsible role in an emergency. Applicants should be prepared to assist for a minimum of three years.

Selection Criteria

1.    Availability for an average of about six hours at least twelve days between December 28th & January 14th
2.    Commitment to the philosophy that we wish to be helpful to all teams & thus work resourcefully and diligently to provide participant friendly fixtures. Some of the principles and procedures are outlined in detail in a document available on request to David Hickman.
3.    Previous experience with timetabling or fixtures would be helpful but not essential.

Initially fixtures are done by placement of cards on boards, to permit ease of changes. These fixtures are then read from the board to enable input of data into Sporting Pulse by a different team of workers. There is then progressive refinement of the fixtures on the basis of identified errors & perceived improvements.

Workplace is Eltham High Venue Conference Room which has air conditioning.
Payment will be at the appropriate rate for these administrative tasks.
