Four Pillars of the PMG

Capturing views on the heart and soul of the Pacific Mini Games.
The four pillars were created by the Cook Islands people as a reminder to themselves as their main purpose as the hosts of the 2009 Pacific Mini Games.
The resemblance of the four pillars to the three main values of the Olympic Games is quite evident.
Where the Olympics have “Excellence”…
Legacy - ensuring that this event will leave lasting legacies for generations to come.
Where the Olympics have “Respect”…
Tradition - maintaining, sharing and incorporating our cultural values as Cook Islands people in everything we do.
Where the Olympics have “Friendship”…
Mana - having the spirit and soul of unity to deliver the best our nation has to offer.
And a mixture of all three values…
Winning Hearts – capturing the hearts of all, by sharing the best of our people and our nation.
