Daily ticket prices explained
Daily tickets will only be available on the day at the venue and will only be sold if there is seating available.
Interpreting the scheme of buying a ticket to watch a sports event is like trying to analyse the Cook Islands financial report, however we hope to simplify it with the following explanation.
· If you want to watch all the athletics and field events (and nothing else) for the five days of competition - morning, afternoon and evening - an adult can buy a $20 ticket.
· If you want a single day ticket for an event of your choice (in this case for example athletics and field events) you pay at the ticket office
o the Standard (seating other than the grandstand) price is adult $5, children free if accompanied by their parent(s) or guardian;
o Premium (grandstand seating) price is $7 per adult and $3 per child.
· Although athletics and field events have been used as an example, other venues such as the Telecom Sports Arena, National Auditorium, CIFA Soccer Academy in Matavera and Te Aroa Nui Hall in Arorangi will have standard tickets on sale provided seating is available.
The Telecom Sports Arena will have one standardised daily ticket prices of $6 adults and $3 per accompanying child.
The covercharge at the Stadium gate to the:
Opening Child $2 and Adult $5 (standard only as the grandstand will likely be taken up by officials))
Closing Child $5 and Adult $8 (standard only as the grandstand will likely be taken up by officials)
· Of course if you are looking for the free venues then check this list:
· Tennis and Golf at Nikao,
Lawn Bowling at Tutakimoa,
Triathlon starting at Avatiu Marine wharf and
Va’a (Oe Vaka) at Muri Lagoon and Avarua wharf for the round the island race.
Sailing on Aitutaku is also free to spectators.
