CENTRALS PLAYERS IN SA COUNTRY JUNIOR CHAMPS

Over the weekend of the 29th and 30th March, two of our Central Districts Lions players competed in the SA Junior Country Championships.  Jake Holness (under 18 Div 1) played for the Barossa Valley Settlers team and Dave Humphries (under 18 Div 1) played for the Yorke Valley team.  The competition was fierce with Millicent winning the Under 18 Division 1 grand final.  A total of 8 teams entered in the Div 1 comp  with  a total of  88 teams competing  from all over SA Country from as far away as Broken Hill.  The championships are held every year with divisions of 1,2,3 and 4 in the Under 16 / Under 18 age group.  The Under 12/ 14 champs were held earlier on the 8th and 9th March.

Both Jake and Dave look forward to this competition each year, the experience and the friendships formed are invaluable with all teams using this opportunity to catch up with one another.

Well done boys
