Competitions Committee
Ricky Simpson today was only one of 5 people elected to the new Competions Committee replacing the former Junior and Senior Committee's at BASA.This is great news and we should congratulate Ricky for his selection. It is important to note that Ricky will not represent the club so much but the interests of basketball generally in this role. In addition to the review of the district junior and senior competition the committee will oversee the normal operations of district basketball and may estbalish sub committees for project work or for tribunals etc. It is a very senior committee influencing the overall operation of District Competition and making links with Church, Country and Social Basketball in Community Centres. I think Ricky is well placed given his experience at STARplex and with senior and junior District competition to make a valuable contribution.
