Trials for 2011/12 are COMING on AUGUST 28!!!
What an amazing 2010/11 year the Lions have had!
We are proud of all our players and their achievements over the past 12 months and are looking forward to an even bigger and better 2011/12.
We strongly encourage new players to attend trials and look forward to having our great, current players and families back in 2011/12.
Glen Hosking (Girls Coaching Director) and Andrew Jantke (Boys Coaching Director) both have significant, high level, district basketball experience, spanning over decades. Andrew Jantke has been a State Assistant Coach over the past 6 years and Glen Hosking coaches both in the SASI and DNSP elite, High Performance programs. Both have an intimate understanding of what it takes to be an elite junior basketballer and have the runs on the board in junior development of athletes that have gone onto ABL and State and National squads and beyond.
Our club’s Coaching ranks are continuously being bolstered, with amazing coaches such as Dean Carson, Trudy Ireland, Stephen Patterson and James Murphy being added to our coaching ranks over the past couple of years, all coaches with Nationals Coaching experience and all having worked with elite juniors. We are also proud of our up and coming coaches such as Scott Herriman, Nikki Ireland, Matthew Bertram, James Pennington, Aaron Nasson, Toby Lockwood, Ben WIzgell, Joanne Connelly, Fiona Perso, Tanya Fielding and more.
To complement their district level competitive development, our athletes continue access the best fundamental and skills development through DNSP squads and the STARplex’ Northern Region Sports Academy.
