Wayne Andersen's U14 Div 2 boys represented Lions in the summer finals series. After finishing 2nd at the end of the minor round, they headed off the re-laid courts of the Morphett Vale stadium to take on Western Magic. After a tight first quarter, they steered clear in the 2nd quarter to take a 34:28 lead into the half time break. Tensions were high in the 3rd quarter when the lead was narrowed, but the boys continued their lead into the 3 quarter time break. The start of the fourth quarter saw the Magic team reel in the boy's lead and then the lead see-sawed in a classic finals match in which both teams refused to yield.
The tight fourth quarter saw both teams reach bonus free shots around halfway through the final quarter and then every shot counted. With no scoreboard clock, the crowd were on the edge of their seats barracking every play as the game was never over. In the end, Magic won the tight contest 53:50.

Top scorers were Gaurav (23), Lachie (9), and Zac (6); leading rebounders were Gaurav (10), and Liam (9).
All boys played well and represented the culture of the Lions with some tough, aggressive basketball.
