9 December: Central's athlete signs Euro Contract
Central Districts ABL player Daniel Cioffi has signed a professional European contract in Germany just recently. Daniel, coached by our Scott Whitmore, helped our ABL men to their most successful year in recent years last ABL season. We look forward to seeing Daniel back in a Lions uniform in coming years.
SCH Wuerzburg Baskets (ProB) signed 28-year old Italian guard Daniel Cioffi (190-G-81, agency: Interperformances). Cioffi played most recently at Central District Lions (Australia).
Cioffi's helped to get the Italian Lega2 Champion in 2007while he played Scavolini-Gruppo Spar Pesaro. his average was 3.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 1.3spg.
Daniel is well known in Italy, where other that Scavolini-Gruppo SparPesaro, he played at Carife Ferrara, Banca Nuova Trapan, Bipop-CarireReggio Emilia between 2004 and 2006, also in Spain where he managed to get Spanish LEB2 Finalist in 2005 while playing 24 games at Alcudia Aracena and averaged 6.5ppg, 2FGP: 46.2%, 3FGP: 41.0%
