NSW Metro Vs SA Country: 18 Men Pool B

NSW struggled to find the impressive form that they have shown throughout the tournament but were good enough to get passed SA Country by 21 points. SA came out in a zone defence and NSW struggled to find a way through but still held a 7-point lead at half time. The NSW boys came out firing in the third quarter as they stretched their lead to 18 points at the final break. This was largely thanks to the efforts of guard Jason Cadee who finished with 24 points and 6 assists. While Mark Hautop finished with a game high of 26 points to lead SA.

WA Metro Vs SA Country: 18 Women Pool A

SA Country has kept its unbeaten start to the championship by the skinniest of margins. The Country girls defeated WA Metro by 2 points. WA started as the better team leading by 9 points at quarter time, they were able to take that same lead into half time with Jasmine Hooper and Courtney Hargreaves leading the WA charge. SA fought back with a 24-12 third quarter that gave them a 3-point lead at the last break and were able to hold off a spirited WA comeback in the last quarter. Emma Hooley led SA with 18.

Final Score: SA Country 71 def WA Metro 69

QLD North Vs SA Country: 18 Men Pool B

QLD North kept their medal hopes alive after defeating SA Country by 33 points. The QLD full court defence allowed them to get easy baskets in the opening quarter that resulted in a 6-point quarter time lead. By half time the margin was out to 14 and stretched to 17 at the last change as SA struggled to get past the full court press applied by QLD. A 27 point last quarter helped QLD blow the margin out with guard Damon Heuir again racking up the points, he finished with 17 while Mark Hautop had 14 for SA Country.

Final Score: QLD North 90 def SA Country 57
