Langford is making a huge impact

Former SA Country junior Yorke Emma Langford is making a huge impact on the NCAA college season.  Emma is playing exceptionally well, and excels in all phases of the game,” head coach at the University of Wyoming, Joe Legerski, said. “She leads us in points, assists, steals and minutes per game, and is as complete a player as we’ve had at Wyoming.” A newcomer to the Cowgirl program in 2008-09, this freshman (first year player) brings size and a strong skill level to the squad. Along with her offensive efforts, Langford has averaged five-and-a-half rebounds per game, including 31 on the opponents’ boards during this period.  A four-time Australian Junior program participant, Langford attended the Australian Institute of Sport for two years (2006-08), and was a member of

the AIS Women’s National Basketball League combination during this period.  She represented the SA Country team at the National Junior Championships at the U16 level (2003 and 2004) and U18 (2005 and 2006), and was named a team captain in her final year.
