SA Country Vs NT: 18 Men Pool B

SA Country completed a hard fought 13-point win against the Northern Territory to give themselves their second win of the championships. SA started strong taking a 16 point lead into half time credit to their strong full court press. The second half saw a change in fortune as SA went back to a man to man defence which let NT back in the game as Tyrone Foster became a playmaker at both ends of the court. SA returned to their press late in the game and was able to come away with the win.

Final Score: SA Country 81 def NT 68

 SA Country Vs NSW Country: 18 Women Pool A

This battle of the Country girls was vital to see who goes through to the medal rounds the two teams produced a classic with the game going right down to the very last seconds. SA Country won the game but NSW Country showed that they also deserved a place in the medal rounds. NSW got off to a good start, leading by 10 points at quarter time, staying ahead they led by five points at the last break despite the best efforts of SA to take the lead. SA came up with the big baskets and big stops at the defensive end in the last quarter chasing down NSW taking the lead to get the win.  To finish top four and play for medals is is a huge and well deserved result for the SA Country girls who constantly have to fight above their weight.
