SA Country Basketball would like to congratulate the following 6 players on their selection to participate in the Basketball Australia 2008 Australian Development Camp in Canberra in January.

The camp is part of the identification process for squads for the World Under 19 Championships. Player have been selected into squads for the 2009 and 2011 Emus (men’s) teams, and the 2009 and 2011 Gems (women’s) teams. Previously, these championships have been held every four years, but a recent change to a two-year tournament cycle means more players will be given an opportunity to represent their country.
The January camps include 90 athletes from all over Australia, aged 15 to 17 years, including 13 from South Australia.
