Junior Country Championships

 

Division 1 winners for the SA Country Basketball Junior Country Championships which were held last weekend were as follows.

 

U16 Girls – Yorke Valley 62 d. Murray Bridge 20
U16 Boys – Murray Bridge 60 d. Strathalbyn 47
U18 Women – Whyalla 38 d. Port Augusta 28
U18 Men - Millicent 51 d. Port Pirie 41 

Most valuable player award for the U16 Girls (Sally-Jane Allen Memorial Trophy) was won by Stephanie Talbot from Yorke Valley.

Thank you to all Associations who nominated teams this year with nominations increasing again from the previous year. Thank you also to Mark Ryan who organised the referees, the referees themselves and umpires in charge.
