2015 U16 State team singlet presentation

Once again we were joined by Basketball royalty with Jan Stirling, Basketball Australia Hall of Fame inductee, to present our U16 State team with their singlets.

With 80 athletes, staff and family in attendance the dinner at Lockleys Hotel was a celebration of the journey these young athletes have embarked upon. We also acknowledge the outstanding contribution of the team staff who contribute above expectations at all times.

Tia Bails (Whyalla) and Shanika-Anne Barr (Great Southern) were named co-captains of the girls team while Ky Matthews-Hampton (Strathalbyn) was named captain of the boys team with Riley Merritt (Murray Bridge) vice captain.

Special mention must be made of Roger Hammond who is attending his 25th National Championships representing SA Country, thank you once more for your contribution, Roger!

Since Country Cup trials in October 2015 these athletes and their families have sacrificed all they can in an endeavour to be the best they can.

SA Country would like to thank Jan Stirling, SA Country President Bert Bargeus and his wife Suzzane for their support of the evening through their attendance.
