SA Country play Yates
The SA Country Varsity boys entered the game full of confidence after winning the Dallas Lutheran Tournament the previous week. Yates HS are the Texas State Champions and ranked number four nationally alongside perennial high school powers Oakhill and DeMatha. The games were played to a sell out crowd of more than 1,000 at the Jack Yates Arena. The Varsity boys giving the Texas champions a good contest to the half, behind 31 after claiming an early lead. The second half unfortunately wasn’t the quality of the first, with the fatigue and travel of the tour setting in. The final score line of 131-68 wasn’t a true indication of how the game was played, as this was the closest margin of any team this season.
JV Boys Yates- HS defeated SAC 88-56
Varsity Girls- Yates HS defeated SAC 76-43
Varsity Boys- Yates HS defeated SAC 131-68
