SA Country at the 2009 National Jamboree
The players that represented SA Country Basketball at the 2009 Jamboree were Rebecca Bell (Eastern Hills), Katie Langmead (Great Southern) Rachel Hines (Mount Gambier) Chelsea Brook (Barossa Valley) Bianca Thacker (Eastern Hills) Brad Rathjen (Mount Gambier) Brad Close (Mount Gambier).
The National Jamboree has been developed to provide junior basketball players with an enjoyable experience that includes more than just direct head to head competition. The Jamboree concept includes social activities, coaching clinics and games. The focus is not on winning, it is participation and enjoyment of the game that is more important at the Jamboree. In 2009 players from the Australian Capital Territory, New Zealand, New South Wales, Victoria & South Australia Country competed in the Jamboree.
