Event Details
Team Composition: 4 men and/or 4 women
Classifications: Under 25's
Restrictions: Team members must be 25 yrs and under as at 31 Dec 2009 (Min age 15)
Playing Format The Arafura Games Darts Competition will include:
- Teams Event - includes singles, doubles and team game;
- Doubles Event - includes Ladies Double and Mens Double;
- Mixed Doubles Event; and
- Singles Event.
A pre-competition managers meeting will be held at Tracy Village on Friday 8th from 5:30pm.
On Friday 8 May a social drawn doubles event will be held. This is open to anyone (if venue is available) as an ice breaker and a chance for people to meet informally.

Event Location
The Darts competition will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the picturesque beachside SKYCITY Casino (on Mindil Beach).
Event Rules
Events will be run according to DFA playing rules, which are affiliated with WDF playing rules and can be found on the Rules and Regulations page of this website.
Teams must be accredited through the Arafura Games accreditation system by Friday 10th April 2009.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will smoking be allowed in the venue?
No. There will be designated smoking areas outside.
Will bar facilities be available at the venue?
Yes. Though only Non Alcoholic Beverages will be available for purchase in the competition venue.
What is the procedure if there is a dispute over rules in a game?
In case of dispute go to the Tournament Controller, who will mediate and make a ruling.
Are there specific rules regarding team uniforms?
Yes. Uniforms need conform to the rule as laid out in the DFA playing rules.
How much will it cost?
There is no registration fee to participate in the Arafura Games. However, you are responsible for costs associated with air travel, accommodation and daily living expenses. Arafura Games organisers provide a free transport system for all participants.
How much will transport cost?
Arafura Games buses will provide all teams with airport transfers on arrival and departure. An official Games shuttle bus service will operate free of charge between accommodation houses and training and competition venues for all accredited participants. Identification tags must be worn at all times when accessing free transport.
What about accommodation for my team and officials?
Darwin has a variety of accommodation to suit all budgets, tastes and special requirements. Almost all of Darwin's accommodation houses are located close to the Central Business District (CBD) and a short drive from sporting venues.
