History
|
First world Tour event in Australia since 1997 in Melbourne. First International Beach Volleyball event since 2001 Goodwill Games in Brisbane. 2000 Sydney Olympics with Natalie Cook and Kerry Pottharst wining gold. All 3 Olympic Beach Volleyball events have had at least 2 Australian Mens and 2 Australian Womens teams compete. 1986 saw the first Australian National Event and the first FIVB World Tour event.
