DEMERIT POINTS
Kilsyth Referees have a range of policies on this website to explain to everyone what is expected of both Kilsyth Management's responsibilities regarding referees as well as what is expected of referees who wish to make a commitment to the Kilsyth Basketball Association.
I advise ALL referees to read these policies as the DEMERIT POLICY has not been enforced lately and is about to be reintroduced.
Many referees have unfortunately taken advantage of this policy not being enforced and failed to honor their rostered appointments. This is a reportable offence to the VBRA tribunal. Kilsyth have decided to deal with this problem in a more understanding manner and award referees who fail to attend their appointments with demerit points. Penalties will be awarded for referees that accumulate too many demerit points. Reward points will be awarded to referees that meet the relevant positive criteria.
Please read the DEMERIT POLICY as it will be implemented starting Sunday 28 October.
