The Goldfields Giants are the regions' premier representative mens basketball team that competes in the State Basketball League of Western Australia

Their season runs from March through to August every year where they compete against 13 other teams from around the state's major regional areas (Bunbury, Mandurah and Geraldton) and 10 teams from the Perth metropolitan area.

Since debuting in the SBL in 1990, the Giants have reached five Grand Finals, culminating in back-to-back championship wins in 2007 and 2008. They were also runners-up in 1995, 2004 and 2006.
