North West Basketball Union Incorporated AGM 14th November 2018
Nominations are being sought for the upcoming NWBU Annual General Meeting. Read further for the form to nominate someone for a role.
NOMINATION FORM – North West Basketball Union Incorporated AGM 14th November 2018 Nominations are invited for the Management Committee of the North West Basketball Union Incorporated any person can nominate for the following positions on the Management Committee:
The Management Committee shall consist of a President (non-voting) ( 2 years as per Constitution 13.d)) a Financial Director (non-voting); (2 years as per Constitution 13.d) To ensure rotational terms, for each two year interval, the President and Financial Director shall be elected in the first year, and the Vice-President and General Manager shall be elected in the second year.
Should any adjustment to the term of the President, Financial Director, Vice-President or General Manager be necessary to ensure rotational terms in accordance with this Constitution, this shall be determined by the Management Committee. Elections to subsequent Management Committees shall then proceed in accordance with the procedures in this Constitution.
Any two Ordinary Members of the Union (NWBU Inc. CAMS) shall be at liberty to nominate any person to serve as an officer of the management committee. The nominations, which shall be in writing and signed by the nominated person and his/her proposer (representative of the Ordinary Member – NWBU CAM) and representative of the seconder (another CAM) shall be lodged with the General Manager at least 21 days before the annual general meeting at which election is to take place.
If more than one nomination is received for any position declared vacant, a list of candidate’s names in alphabetical order, with proposer and seconder names shall be circulated to all ordinary members 14 days prior to the NWBU Inc. Annual General Meeting. If required balloting lists shall be prepared containing names of candidates in alphabetical order and each Ordinary member present shall be entitled to vote for any number of such candidates not exceeding the number of vacancies.
Nominators have the opportunity to provide relevant information regarding personal skills and attributes required for the position to the General Manager which will be circulated with the list of candidates’ names.
