The U22 Roster comes to a conclusion this Friday/ Saturday night.

The top four teams are locked in for both the men and women, irrespective of the outcome of the games tonight.

At this stage, Penguin and Ulverstone will finish top two in the women’s ladder. Somerset will finish third due to ‘head to head’ and Burnie fourth.

In the men’s roster the ladder positions are also set with Burnie and Penguin finishing top two. While Latrobe and Ulverstone will finish third and fourth.

The first and second semi-finals will be played at Devonport on Tuesday 17th November.

The Ulverstone versus Penguin games at Ulverstone will be great games to watch.

It is very difficult to pick a winner in both games. A win by either teams will give them great confidence going into the finals.

Somerset are at home to Smithton.

The Somerset women should win this game and maintain their good form going into the finals.

The men’s game will be close, the team that can play the most consistent basketball will get the points. Consistency has been the biggest problem for both these teams in this year’s roster.

Latrobe travel to Devonport with the big interest in the women’s game. Will this be the game that the Devonport women get their first victory for the season? It will be a great battle.

The Latrobe men should be too strong for Devonport. However, on recent form the young Devonport warriors will start out as favourites.

The last game will be played on Saturday night at Burnie.

The Burnie women will be too strong for the Wynyard team.

Likewise the top men’s team Burnie will have little trouble accounting for the bottom team Wynyard.
