Latrobe travel to Penguin, with the men’s game, the game of the round. Both teams are legit title contenders. There is a very good chance both teams will meet again in the finals series that begin next Tuesday night. A victory tonight will be a big confidence booster for the upcoming finals. Penguin rely on their outside game, while Latrobe rely on their transition game.

Unfortunately it will be a very long night for the young Latrobe women’s team against one of the form teams of the women’s competition, Penguin.

Ulverstone are at home to Devonport.

In the women’s game it is first versus last. The young Devonport team has improved greatly this year and the Devonport senior program will benefit greatly in years to come from the experience gained by their younger payers. However, tonight’s game will be a tough battle for Devonport.

The Ulverstone men will start favourite, however, the young Devonport team have caused a few upsets this year and Ulverstone will need to play at their best to win this one.

Wynyard take on Somerset at Wynyard.

Somerset women will be far too experienced for the young Wynyard team. Somerset have been performing well over the last few weeks and should go deep into the finals. No doubt Wynyard will put up good effort and make this an interesting game.

Wynyard men are still chasing their first win and will again find it challenging against a more experienced Somerset team.

Burnie and Smithton clash at Burnie. Burnie will start clear favourites in both games.

However, if Smithton women can gain an advantage inside the key, they can make it very difficult for Burnie, as Burnie’s inside game has been a weakness for them at times.

The Burnie men’s experience and potent offensive game will make it a difficult night for the Saints.
