MURRAY BRIDGE 3X3 TOURNAMENTGOING STRONG
The countdown is on the coming 3X3 Nationals, with Murray Bridge staging the only South
Australian 3X3 Nationals tournament.
Basketball Australia is calling all basketball enthusiasts to either sign up, or come along as a
spectator to watch street ball at its best on 9th and 10th of May 2015
With over 250 million players worldwide, 3X3 has grown to be extremely popular and the
sport just keeps getting bigger and better. The reasoning behind its success is because 3X3 is
for everyone, from the highly experienced, to no experience at all. There are so many
opportunities, whether your goal is to just have fun or make it onto the world stage.
The 3X3 Nationals are open to basketball players from across the community, including
associations, schools, businesses and even from local “street” courts. Teams consist of four
players who are guaranteed at least three matches in their qualifying event and there are still
spaces for teams to enter.
Team registrations are going very well for the tournament in Murray Bridge and it is great to
see the support of National Basketball League players such as Adam Gibson and Peter
Crawford. Peter Crawford was in town to promote the event last week and Adam Gibson will
be holding a basketball clinic for Murray Bridge Basketball Association people Wednesday
the 29th of April from 4.30pm.
Teams that qualify for the quarterfinals at each of the seven 3X3 Nationals – Qualifier events,
are automatically eligible to compete in the 3X3 National Finals, with no registration fee
being charged for the Finals.
Basketball Australia is thrilled to be supporting this new fast paced basketball event and are
encouraging everyone to give it a go!
Categories include: Men’s & Women’s U14, U16, U18 & Opens. For information about

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
