Our teams had some great games for the first carnival of the season and showed  promising things to come. The improvement and development I saw over the weekend of the teams and players was great.  Looking forward to seeing these players and teams development, improve their skills & confidence over the rest of the season.

 

I would like to thank everyone for the help and support over the weekend. The help we received over the weekend in the canteen, scoring, helping the players, cleaning up and running the carnival was fantastic. We ended up with 60 teams playing 161 games over the weekend. It was  a huge weekend. We could not achieve what we did without everyone's help. THANK YOU

 

I would like to personally thank 

• Carol and Shane Hunter for all the work they did on the program before they left for their holiday
• Sharon Farnham for her skill and expertise in the scoresheets and results
• Sam Legallou for being the Umpire in Charge, roster on all the umpires, getting all the umpires organised and keeping the carnival running smoothly
• Kerri Welden in organising the office and umpires payments
• Rachel Schulz for all she did over the weekend in organising the  canteen ( and the week before), huge job
• Karen Altschwager for all the jobs she did over the weekend cleaning up and getting people to help
• Steve Hein for his work in the canteen and keeping Unity CommUnity Stadium clean and tidy
• Annette and Darryl Glaetzer for being the stadium Coordinators at Unity CommUnity Stadium
• The Junior Development Committee – Petrina Altmann, Judi Prosser, Kerry Lienert, Lisa Gepp, Narelle Roe-Simons, Faye Stephens, Simone Tabe, Sharon Pratt, Carol Hunter, Kerri Welden, Sharon Farnham, Kalarie Jenner, and Karen Altschwager for all the help over the weekend and the planning of the carnival. We could not have run this carnival without all the hard work these ladies did in the  months leading up to the carnival and the support they gave to me
• David Schenscher and the MBBA committee  thank you for all your help and support
• All the coaches and team managers who have volunteered to coach and help with the teams this season – with out you we wouldn't have the teams and players we have
• All the umpires we had over the weekend. Without these we would not have a game
• My family for putting up with me in the weeks leading up to the carnival

Hope I didn't forget anyone. Without these people our carnival would not have happened

 

 

I would also like to Thank Karen Hollitt for all her help and work on the Junior Development Committee for over the past  8 years,  the past 2 years as Vice President.  Due to other commitments Karen has recently resigned from the committee. Karen has been a fantastic committee member and her knowledge, experience, skill and professionalism have been a real asset to our committee and the program.  Thank you again Karen for all your time, knowledge and energy  you have put into the program.
