Important changes for Murray Bridge basketball

The following items came from the MBBA committee meeting on Sunday February 8.

1. Finals eligibility.  Games cancelled due to the Hot Weather Policy shall be counted towards player eligibility for finals, provided players have already registered and have played games prior in that season.  Effective Immediately.

2. For the 2008/09 Summer finals series, only the top four teams in each grade, in junior and senior grades, will contest  the finals.

3. There will be no charge for spectators for the finals series.

4. Independent timekeepers will be required for finals.  Teams contesting the finals should each provide a competent and experienced person to share the score sheet duties.

5. Requests for court hire time need to be in writing and can be included on the bottom of the team nomination forms.  Please provide a couple of alternative times as we will be trying to accommodate all teams on an equitable basis.

6. The new season commences on 27th April, which is the start of Term 2. It will be a 14 week season, with finals on 16th, 17th and 23rd August, out of the way before footy, netball & pedal prix.

7. AGM is set for Monday 6th April at 7.00pm at the stadium.  All nominations for positions to be in writing on forms, and have signatures of two financial members.  You must be a financial member (i.e. paid fee) to be able to vote and be nominated.  NO NOMINATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM THE FLOOR.

8.MBBA has adopted the Basketball SA Hot Weather guidelines for all carnivals and State Champs in 2009 season contested by Bullets teams.  A copy can be emailed to you on request.

Leanne McLoughlin

Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
