Referee Development Camp Immanuel College 2011
In October 2011, Basketball SA in conjunction with SA Country Basketball and affiliated
Associations will be conducting the annual State Wide Referee Development Camp.
Over the last weekend of the school holidays, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th October, referees
from all over South Australia are invited to attend the theory component of their next level of
accreditation. During the 2 day event courses will be run covering accreditation for;
Level 1C, Level 1B, Level 1A
Level 2, Level 3
Referee Coach Level 1
Scoretable Level 0/1
This is a great opportunity for referees to learn from experienced presenters while meeting
with new and old friends in basketball.
Saturday begins at 10.00am for registration with lessons commencing at about 10.30. A
beautiful lunch and evening meal is included and the evening session finishes around 9pm.
For those country participants who choose to live in accommodation is available onsite and all
bed linen is included.
This year an entry level scoretable course has been added giving parents the opportunity to
learn the basics of how to operate on the scoretable. Eg. Game clock, scoresheet, possession
arrow. This course will be run in the afternoon/evening subject to numbers and takes about 3
hours.
All courses are official national qualifications and on completion each participant receives a
certificate recognising their accreditation level.
