Major changes on the way for our website

Major changes to the layout of the Murray Bridge basketball website are expected from Monday November 22. Changes by Sporting Pulse that the Association have minimal control over include:

  • MENUS: moving to top-menu navigation only (left and right-hand menus will migrate) – largely so that the area for all page layouts, including fixtures, results and stats can be maximised.
  • COLOURS: Currently users can configure 20 colour settings. We’ve simplified this back to 4 main colours, and ensured that content is readable on a white background.
  • IMPROVED LAYOUT ACROSS ALL PAGES: E.g. News, Fixtures/Results/Ladders.
  • IMPROVED WYSIWYG EDITOR: Upgrade to TinyMCE, the text editor used by Facebook, Wordpress, Joomla CMS, Microsoft etc.
  • SOCIAL MEDIA INTERACTION: Ability for users to share pages, news articles and page content via social networks such as Twitter and Facebook, in order to drive traffic and user engagement back to your site.

Murray Bridge basketball has control of the content that appears on its website and would appreciate any feedback by its members. How can we improve? What do you like about our website?

Within the next couple of weeks, some planned content improvements to our website include:

  • A Club Contacts page: A list of the important faces from each club, which will help simplify communication as well as help new players find a team.
  • Online court hire/training schedule: So you know when there’s court space free to train your team.
  • DNSP page under the Junior Development menu: DNSP is a very important part of our junior development.
  • Previous years' results from Junior Carnival: To keep the stats fanatics content.
  • Updated life members list: Because life members deserve to be recognised.

To give feedback on our website, email the administrator at slinky_sam@hotmail.com or fill out a form and place into the box at the stadium.
