Zac Borlace looks like he's getting ready for the big waves this summer with his long surfie hair do, but first he has a big grand final to play in. Borlace last night was adjudged the best junior in Broken Hill's A grade competition.
The award is open to any player still eligible to play in the under 18's competition. Borlace captained North's to 3rd in the 18's competition and was named Captain of the Under 18's All Star Team.
A brilliant player for North's, Zac will have a big say in whether North's can complete a hat trick of premierships having scored wins in 2011 & 2012 both by less that a goal.
Borlace won from West's gun midfielder Cohen Pettitt who damaged his chances playing in Adelaide for 3 weeks. Pettitt has had an outstanding year playing in West's Under 18 premiership. Pettitt also played for Broken Hill in the Miners Cup in May and from his performace he was selected for Zone duties ....all at the tender age of 18 this year.
