Important Notice - Game Ticket Price Increase
Dear Basketball Geelong Member,
We are writing to you to advise that as from the start of Summer 2008/09 Season our game ticket prices will increase. Juniors will increase from $5.50 to $6.50 per game and seniors from $8.50 to $9.00.
Our benchmarking has shown these new rates are in par with rates at other country Victorian Associations while our Benchmarking also shows that our venue is one of the most expensive to access.
This is the first increase in junior fees since the year 2000, at which point we increased junior playing fees to cover the GST. Our last increase in senior fees was from $8.25 to $8.50 and this occurred in 2006. Prior to then our fees for senior games had also been held at $8.25 since 2000.
Of course, in the intervening time we have managed referee, venue and administrative cost increases. Basketball Geelong has held our ticket prices as low as we could in this period.
Basketball Geelong is continually working towards providing high quality basketball competitions to all members at a reasonable cost, the increase in game ticket prices though regrettable is inevitable.
