Under 14 National Club Championships Game 3

14 Boys Team Huddle

Date: 28/9/2010

Opponent: Logan Thunder

Result: Geelong 52 def Logan Thunder 38

Top 4 Geelong Scorers: Bailey Biggs 14, Jake Crawley 10, Jamie Sydall 9, Jordan O’Leary 6.

Game 3: After 2 good wins against Willetton Tigers from WA and Illawarra Hawks from NSW we faced off against the country champions from Queensland, Logan Thunder. Logan depth was thin and relied heavily on two players, our coaches Chris Clyne and Tim Sanderson devised a game plan to reduce their impact, the plan was executed to perfection [most of the time!!] with Tom Doedee, Jamie Sydall and Jordan O’Leary sharing the defensive role throughout the game on their biggest offensive threat and as they kept him to 20 points with a very poor shooting percentage their efforts were not missed in the game review.

Bailey Biggs [our seasons MVP], was simply outstanding in all facets of the game and his rebounding partners of Jake Crawley, Jacob Pupavac, Xavier McKeegan and Darcy Bennett, who have all played a huge part in our success so far in the tournament were again a constant threat in offense and very solid defensively.

Keep tuned for more updates as we move into the crossovers on Wednesday and Thursday,

Cheers from Canberra

Tim O’Leary
