Warrandyte Strike Top Results In VJBL

As grading nears completion in the Victorian Junior Basketball League, Warrandyte's Friday night program (Venom) has achieved great results for season 2009.

While a number of teams are still battling for positions, at least two have already started their 2009 home and away campaigns after making the State's highest level - Victorian Championship (VC).

Venom's U12.1 girls (coach - Emma Collins) and 16.1 girls (coach - Nicole Howard) both successfully made it through to Victoria's top 20 teams in their respective age groups, a wonderful achievement.

The club is also celebrating the large number of teams that have made it through to the Metro 1 division, which includes 12.1 boys (coach - Damian Arsenis), 14.1 boys (coach - Gerry Pearce), 14.1 girls (coach - Justin Nelson) and 18.1 girls (coach - Justin Nelson).

In the next week all teams will complete grading and we will provide an update on the website on how each team has fared. Stay tuned.
