Young Guns Ready For Big Step At Big V Tournament
With many of Warrandyte's senior women on modified pre-season training schedules, the spotlight at the Big V tournament will turn to the team's teenagers as they step up for their first big taste of senior basketball at Division One level.
While the likes of Billie Addlem and Jess Oram will be rested, and Sally Phillips and Jaz Borella will have modified court time, those supporters attending the tournament at MSAC can expect to see youngsters Meg Dargan, Mollie Burke, Nicolette Prior, Lauren Sabidussi, Bec Heddles, Carla Sabidussi, Ash Brobbel and Casey Taylor doing plenty of work out on court.
The tournament will also be the first time against this year's Division One teams that recruits Janelle Lucas and Sharlene Dalsanto will represent the Venom, while club favourite Chelsea Ransom is raring to go and should feature in all four games.
The Venom will match-up against Coburg and Latrobe City on Saturday, with games against Sunbury and Hawthorn on Sunday.
