Parramatta Council in conjunction with NSW Sport and Recreation are conducting a Member Protection Seminar on the 1st & 8th March (2 consecutive Monday nights) 2012 from 6pm to 9pm at the Parramatta Town Hall
The Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) plays an important role in a club, state or national sporting organisation. A MPIO provides confidential information, moral support and options to help resolve issues for members of their sporting club or organisation.
This course will assist the MPIO by increasing understanding and teaching practical skills to effectively deal with queries, complaints or concerns relating to harassment, discrimination and child abuse in sport.
This course is part of the Harassment-Free Sport Strategy (an initiative of the Australian Sports Commission).
If you or anyone in your club are interested, please complete the attached enrolment form and fax it to 90063888 or email it to donna.giusa@communities.nsw.gov.au
