The Singleton Roosters will hit the field this year in a brand new strip thanks to new major Junior Club sponsor, PACE ENGINEERS. The club believes the new strip (featured below) will more adequately reflect their identity and is confident that the players will wear it with pride.
The club had been playing in the Sydney Swans strip for a number of years and according to Junior Vice President Phil Huntington, it was time for a change. We were delighted to get PACE ENGINEERS on board as the major club sponsor. PACE is an Australian owned and operated engineering company providing professional services in the electrical and information technology disciplines from offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Singleton and Tannum Sands. PACE provides specialist project management, engineering design, turn-key construction and technical support in various disciplines, including Electrical Power, Industrial Information Management Systems, Process Control, Automation systems and Certified Safety Audits and Safety Systems.
Principal and General Manager, Craig Gradwell, has been very keen to support the club. The deal is a real boon for a developing club such as ours and there is no doubt that securing the support of his company has been one of the best things for the Roosters for some time.
After such a difficult year in 2007 with the June flood wreaking havoc causing the loss of the Roosters home and sense of club unity, the club felt it was time to bounce back this year with something to give the members back their sense of pride, whilst reflecting the local people that directly support the club.
They are also very pleased to retain the support of Cole Air Services as an on-going club sponsor. Stuart Butch Leggett and his team have been tremendous supporters of the club over the past few years, particularly with the Under 16 boys and to be able to retain this relationship is very encouraging and a real positive for the club.
Following such a difficult year in 2007, the junior Roosters have managed to regroup over the off-season and the club is looking forward to 2008 as a year of further development and consolidation, with all grades showing improved player numbers from the previous year. We want to get the families back to club this year and create a real Club atmosphere, be a place that people are welcomed, feel a sense of belonging and are happy about being around. Its actually starting to happen, the grounds have never looked better and we are raring to go for the first round this week. Watch out Crows!
