Junior All Stars Draw
Information on the 2017 Junior All Star Club League
We’ll be following a similar format to what was delivered last year - with four of the round robin games to be held at Pioneer Stadium:
- Round 1: Sunday August 20 (10:30am – 5:30pm)
- Round 2: Sunday August 27 (10:30am – 5:30pm)
- Round 3: Sunday September 3 (10:30am – 5:30pm)
- Round 4: Sunday September 10 (10:30am – 5:30pm)
- Round 5: Sunday September 17 (12:00pm – 5:00pm) Will be held at Rangiora New Life and Ohoka Events Centre
- Grand Final: Saturday September 23 (approximately 8:00am – 10:30am) Cowles Stadium
Rounds 1-4 will feature a guest coach on each court to help the All Star Coaches with some drills and ideas they can use. Canterbury Wildcats Head Coach Lori McDaniel is overseeing the appointment of coaches and content for this aspect, which will be 30-40 minutes each week. Teams will then play each of the other five teams (one game per round – approximately 70 minutes).
It is very important that the coaches for every team come to the full timeslot, as Lori will have one coach per court to help both teams and their coaches there (i.e. they will assist and help the actual team coaches, not take their role).
