McDonald's Thompson and Whelan Round Six Preview
Round six has already started, with Burnside and Ashburton involved in a school exchange (unfortunately the Whelan game was decided not to count after some clock malfunctions). Christ’s College will take on Cashmere High School in a Dowson Cup challenge on Thursday night at Cowles Stadium (7:30pm) – with this game being streamed on our facebook page thanks to the students from the New Zealand Broadcasting School (at Ara).
Cashmere High School is hosting the Rangi Ruru girls, and then have lent their home court to Hillmorton, who are playing the Kaiapoi boys at 7pm. Lincoln High School is hosting the Hillmorton girls and then Papanui boys, and Rangiora (at the Mitre 10 Mega Sports Centre) has Christchurch Girls’ and then Christchurch Boys’.
In 5:15pm Whelan game action Villa Maria hosts St. Margaret’s, and Middleton Grange hosts Kaiapoi, while Ellesmere travels to Avonside for a 5:30pm tip. We have one 5:15pm Thompson game (St. Thomas at Riccarton), with the remaining games tipping at 7pm: Ellesmere at Cathedral, and Linwood at Hornby.
