Edmondson Signs with Waves

The Alcohol.Think Again West Coast Waves have added to their 2012/13 WNBL squad with New Zealand representative and WNBL player Antonia Edmondson and young WA talent, Darcee Garbin.

Edmondson comes to the west coast after spending last season with the Adelaide Lightning alongside Olympic Bronze Medal winners Suzy Batkovic, Abby Bishop and Jenni Screen.
The 25-year-old has also played with Bendigo Spirit and Dandenong Rangers.

The Alcohol.Think Again West Coast Waves head coach, Kennedy Kereama, said Edmondsons talent and experience will be beneficial for the team.

"Toni adds a really versatile, athletic scorer and defender to our waves program this season," he said.

"Toni is fresh from international competition and as a starting guard for the New Zealand National Team and she will bring that experience with her.

"She has really made leaps and bounds in her game over the past few years within the WNBL and her National team and I am looking forward to having her in a Waves uniform this season," Kereama said.

Edmondson said she is looking forward to making the move west and playing with the squad. I thought it would be a good opportunity to play there. Its a nice city, Ive only been there a few times but it looks like a really good place to live, she said.
