Tall Ferns Head Coach & Administrator Position
Exciting news at Basketball New Zealand. BBNZ is expanding the High-Performance team and are seeking to appoint a full-time Head Coach for our Senior Women’s National team, the New Zealand Tall Ferns:
"This is a significant step in supporting our High Performing female players as well as investing in the development pathway for our young aspiring girls. The successful applicant will have a dual role of Coaching the Senior National team and leading the female performance pathway environment.
The successful applicant will play a significant role in assisting Basketball New Zealand in creating a supporting high performance environment that develops elite female International players who can win World Cup and Olympic medals.
The successful candidate will have at least three years’ experience working within a female high performance environment ideally in a National team program, or within a professional Club system. They will have to be able to demonstrate their world-class skills in coaching, their ability to implement strategies to enhance performance, provide evidence of working within and contributing to junior development programs as well as demonstrating their strong administration, logistics and planning skills.
They will have a thorough understanding of the needs of elite female athletes, and knowledge of various sports science and sports medicine disciplines to ensure a positive team performance. Domestic and international travel will be required in this role and the successful applicant must be able secure the correct work visa’s required to work within New Zealand."
