Wolverines (3 -1) took the outright lead in the Men's Premier Hoben trophy club round after a close win over Checkers (2-1). The Wolverine attack was led by Mike Kinley who produced his best performance to date with 41 points including 5 triples and 10 from the charity stripe. Atami sit second equal on the ladder with Lincoln University on six points although both teams have played one more game than fourth placed Checkers who are on five. A better defensive effort by Lincoln restricted Duggan to just 6 points in the second half and Nick Erwood stepped up to score 20 second half points including 7 of 7 from the free throw line. The best performance of the day however went to Lincoln's Aled Jones with a stat line of 16 points, 12 rebounds an 9 assists almost scoring a triple double.
