Referees have always been paid the big bucks!

Bruce found these in the archives today. Notes from the late Russ Henwood. 

28/04/1972 - A Friday secondary schools competition was commenced, consisting of two grades of 7 boys’ teams and 2 grades of 5 girls’ teams each grade. Referees for these game received 20 cents per game.

1973 - Executive members were required on a roster system to do duty on Saturdays at Cowles Stadium from 9am to 1pm and 1pm to 5pm. A decision was also made to employ a floor controller at a cost of $1.50 per hour. Floor controllers for the Monday and Tuesday night competitions were to be paid $5 each.
