Weldwell April School Holiday Camp a Success

Is there anywhere else in any sport where you have current and former international representative players, current and former National League players and National age group representative team players coaching young up and coming sports people.

The answer is yes, right here in Hawkes Bay and the sport is basketball.

Boy; are we lucky or what

Over the past week the players of the HBS Bank Hawks have coached at the Weldwell sponsored Basketball Hawkes Bay (BBHB) holiday camp much to the delight of the 78 young players aged between 6 and 15 years. Add to that current National Emerging Tall Fern player AaliyahAh Kiong and basketball legend and BBHB Development Coached Clifton Bush and Reece Tuala-fata and you have one of the best camp coaching staff ever assembled .

It is a full on week for players and coaches they start at 8.30 am each day and ending around 4.30 pm.

The daily activities include a wide range of skill improvement activities, competitions and games. Players who attend camps are generally the ones who go onto higher
