Hastings Boys and Girls High School Qualify for Nationals
The Zone 3 Premierships were held the TSB Stadium in New Plymouth over the past three days. Teams finishing in the top 6 qualify for the Nelson hosted National Finals in October.
HGHS and HBHS both qualified.
HGHS, who had not qualified for the past 12 years, finished in the final against NP GHS (still awaiting the result) and finished 2nd seed for the region.
HBHS lost their 3rd and 4th playoff against NPBHS.
Napier BHS finished 7th to narrowly miss qualifying and St John's Hastings boys a disappointing 13th
Havelock North High School girls who attended the tournament for the first time in many years did not make the top 6.
