The Western Magpies are holding a Coaching Skills Program this November.
No players will be worried about losing their skills over summer this year, with the Western Magpies Coaching Skills Program up and running.
The Magpies will be holding weekly sessions from November 8 – December 6, catering for players from 14-21 who want to keep improving in the off-season.
Any player from any club is welcome to attend, which will be co-ordinated by former Magpies coach, Paul Grentell.
As well as coaching the Magpies, Grentell has a lengthy involvement with Queensland rep footy, having been an assistant coach for the Queensland U18 Scorpions in recent years, and also assisted at Morningside.
As well as Grentell, the program will utilise the talents of experienced and qualified coaches, Pat Garner, Anthony McDonald, Anthony Corrie and other senior Magpies players.
The Coaching Skills Program will centre on improving players’ skill sets, with a focus on core skills, decision making and general game play.
Anyone who is interested in being involved in the program should contact Chris Dennis on 0402 955 461 or email cdennis@higgins.com.au.
For any more information on the program, contact the Magpies football director, Peter McClennan, on 0402 733 783.
The program will be capped to 50 participants.
